Explore Your Creative Side

Join us in combining your thirst for creativity with our mission for conservation! Roosevelt Park Zoo’s Canvas, Corks & Conservation is an adult-only painting class that will inspire your love for the natural world through guided paint classes. We will provide your canvas, paints, and all other materials needed to create your masterpiece. All you need to provide is the wine! All money raised will be donated to AZA SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction initiative.

Travel to the savanna’s of Africa as we create this unique giraffe painting. While painting, we will learn some fun facts about giraffes, the threats they face in their natural habitat, and what is being done to protect them.

AZA SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction

AZA SAFE is an initiative to identify threats, develop action plans, raise new resources and engage the public.Through this initiative, 10 Signature Species have been identified: African penguin, Asian elephant, black rhinoceros, cheetah, gorilla, sea turtle, sharks, vaquita, Western pond turtle, and whooping crane. As an AZA-accredited facility, we have a unique responsibility and opportunity to help slow species declines and extinction.
