Key Volunteer Recognition! (February 3, 2012)
MINOT, ND – Roosevelt Park Zoo honors the work and dedication of a key volunteer - John Harding of Minot. Zoo staff along with other members of the Minot Park District presented a collage of pictures and hoof prints of John's namesake, the zebra "Harding", to the long-serving volunteer after a chili cook-off lunch last Tuesday.
John has been a constant figure at the Zoo since he started volunteering in 1998. "John is an iconic figure of the Zoo," states Brandi Clark, General Curator, "During the season, John is at the Zoo everyday volunteering. He brings an amazing smile, and he promotes the Zoo everyway he can."
The Zoo staff greatly appreciates the time and support of all our volunteers and look forward to seeing them back on Zoo grounds this spring as we work to rebuild the Zoo!
